WHEN?
The InsureSage Risk Consultants Undergraduate Work Experience Programme will take place during the winter university holidays in July 2026.
The programme has been specifically designed to provide university students with meaningful workplace exposure within the insurance and risk management sector while allowing them to apply the knowledge they have acquired through their studies in a practical corporate environment.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The InsureSage Risk Consultants Undergraduate Work Experience Programme offers selected students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience within a leading insurance and risk consulting organisation.
Participants will be placed within teams aligned to their academic disciplines and career interests. Throughout the programme, students will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining insight into the day-to-day operations of the insurance and risk management industry.
The programme provides participants with an opportunity to:
• Gain practical workplace experience in a professional corporate environment.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the insurance, risk management, and financial services sectors.
• Learn from experienced industry professionals and subject matter experts.
• Observe and participate in real business processes and projects.
• Build professional relationships and expand their industry network.
• Strengthen communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Gain valuable exposure to the standards, ethics, and professionalism expected within the financial services industry.
• Explore potential career opportunities within insurance, risk management, and related disciplines.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Applications are invited from university undergraduate students currently pursuing qualifications in the following fields of study:
• Commerce & Finance
• Actuarial Science
• Insurance
• Law
• Risk Management
• Human Resources
• Information Technology (IT)
Students who demonstrate strong academic performance, a willingness to learn, professionalism, and an interest in the insurance and risk management industry are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The programme will be hosted at the InsureSage Risk Consultants offices in Honeydew, Gauteng.
The work experience programme will run over a two-week period during the July 2026 university holiday break.
Participants will have an opportunity to interact with professionals from various disciplines and gain valuable insight into the operations of a licensed financial services provider operating within South Africa’s insurance and risk management landscape.
